REGISTRATION: $25 registration fee. Hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine and soft beverages will be served through the event. ($20 registration fee for alumni under 21 years of age.)




Executive Director, Dr. Oz THE GOOD LIFE
Hearst Corporation

As an Executive Director for the launch of Dr. Oz THE GOOD LIFE Karen is a seasoned seller of this trusted Health & Wellness Platform. Karen sells marketing programs across magazine, website and television show channels to advertisers in the Beauty and Health sectors. Prior to being the first seller hired to launch Dr. Oz THE GOOD LIFE, she served as an Executive Director at House Beautiful within the Hearst Design Group for 4 years; managing major Beauty and Consumer accounts. While at the Hearst Design Group Karen grew her Sales List by 60% and was invited to meet the President for a “Star Seller” Breakfast. “Omni-Sales” of iconic brands are a part of Karen’s career history as she spent several years at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia handling the Home Accounts with integrated sales packages. Her background in multi-media selling began as a Sales Director at Time Inc. while at This Old House Ventures for 5 years.

Karen actively participates in Industry Events such as Advertising Women of New York, Women in Communications, Cosmetic Executive Women and the Personal Consumer Products Council. On a personal note, she has lived in California, Georgia and Texas before returning to New Jersey in 2003 to raise her 4 children. Karen is married to a fellow MKA graduate, Joe Sullivan who has 6 children. Free time is spent attending to her blended and extended family in New Jersey. She has fond memories of her time at MKA while growing up in Montclair. Karen credits MKA for her writing, research and critical thinking skills. After graduating High School Karen attended Boston College and subsequently began her successful Ad Sales Career.


Director in the Capital Structure and Capital Markets Advisory group

Alfredo Bequillard joined Lazard in 2013 and is a Director in the Capital Structure and Capital Markets Advisory group. Alfredo works on a variety of advisory assignments for clients throughout the firm on topics including debt and equity financings, liability management, capital structure optimization, capital allocation, credit ratings and general corporate finance strategy. Recent announced transaction and advisory experience includes Williams’ $38bn combination with Energy Transfer, ongoing strategic advisory to Bob Evans, Lazard’s $400mm debt refinancing, and Walgreen’s acquisition of the remaining majority stake in Alliance Boots.

Prior to joining Lazard, Alfredo spent seven years in Citigroup’s Financial Strategy Group in New York providing advisory services to large corporations regarding capital structure, liquidity, credit ratings, capital allocation, and hedging, primarily in the Technology sector and in Latin America, as well as publishing studies on current corporate finance topics for the benefit of the firm’s corporate clients .

Prior to joining Citigroup, Alfredo was a Management Engineer with The Port Authority of NY and NJ and an Industrial Engineer with Schering-Plough (since merged with Merck).

Senior Vice President and General Manager

An integral part of the iHeartMedia team since he joined the company in 2005, Grover currently serves as Senior Vice President and General Manager for iHeartRadio – iHeartMedia's all-in-one digital radio and streaming music service. In this role, he oversees the day-to-day operations of the iHeartRadio team and focuses on the development of new high-potential digital opportunities for the company.

Most recently, Grover served as the Senior Vice President of Digital Ventures for iHeartMedia, where he led new product development and partnerships for the company. Grover also helped to establish iHeartMedia’s Entertainment Enterprises team where he was instrumental in the enormous success of the inaugural iHeartRadio Music Awards show, which aired on NBC.

Grover has been actively involved in the media and entertainment industry for more than 15 years. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife Dr. Erin Gilbert and their son Devon. A passionate music fan, his favorite band is The Clash.


Senior Recruiter and Marketing Manager
The Woods Group

Lisa Gittleman ’93 is the Senior Recruiter and Marketing Manager at The Woods Group, an executive search firm that provides highly qualified candidates to industries including financial services, telecommunications, healthcare, technology, apparel, and more. Lisa’s range of responsibilities include:

  • Review incoming resumes and evaluate against job description and client requirements
  • Search for top candidates to fill existing vacancies
  • Provide client with succinct summaries of candidate qualifications
  • Maintain firm web presence including The Woods Group website, LinkedIn Group, and Facebook page as well as job postings
  • Create and distribute email marketing pieces including updates, job postings, and candidate profiles
  • Research potential clients and placement opportunities via active networking and industry intelligence
  • Prior to joining The Woods Group, Lisa was the Marketing Specialist at Dydacomp (now Freestyle), a cloud based order management company for inventory management and order processing. She was the company’s first full-time employee solely responsible for all PR and Marketing campaigns for the company in the U.S. and the UK, and exceeded a four month new product sales goal in the first month with a targeted multichannel marketing campaign.

    Lisa has a B.A. from Vassar College.
