Signature Programs

The Montclair Kimberley Academy's three Signature Programs - Core Works, Ethics and the Writing Challenge - are distinguishing features of an MKA education and provide threads that run through and unify the curriculum from pre-kindergarten to 12th grade. These programs reflect and enhance the richness and challenge of the MKA curriculum as they help students, through common study during their years at MKA, to build their understanding of some of the key foundations of good scholarship and good citizenship. For faculty members, these Signature Programs provide touchstones that can be used to ground discussions and provide a focal point for collaborative professional development and curriculum design.
