Directions to Upper School Campus

Please note:  Any head-in space on Lloyd Road may be used EXCEPT the first five spaces, marked "Permit Parking Only."  Additionally, parking is available in MKA's Walden Ave. lot, located one block east (or downhill) of Lloyd Road off Bloomfield Avenue.  There is a walkway from the Walden lot to Lloyd Road.

From the North:

   * Garden State Parkway South to exit 151 (Watchung Avenue)
    * Right turn onto Watchung Avenue
    * Proceed 6 traffic lights to Valley Road
    * Left turn onto Valley Road to Bloomfield Avenue
    * (you will pass our Middle School campus on Valley Road)
    * Right turn onto Bloomfield Avenue
    * Proceed west on Bloomfield Avenue to Lloyd Road, make left turn (school can be seen from            Bloomfield Avenue)

From the South:

    * Garden State Parkway North to exit 148 (Bloomfield Avenue)
    * At the bottom of the exit ramp continue through intersection in the left-most lane, crossing over        Bloomfield Avenue
    * Follow signs for Bloomfield Avenue (Bloomfield/Montclair), making left jughandle turn
    * Make right turn onto Bloomfield Avenue
    * Continue west on Bloomfield Avenue approximately 3 miles through center of Montclair to            Lloyd Road, make left turn (school can be seen from Bloomfield Avenue)

From Route 46:

    * Take Valley Road, Montclair exit
    * Proceed south, past Montclair State University, on Valley Road to Bloomfield Avenue
    * Right turn onto Bloomfield Avenue
    * Proceed west on Bloomfield Avenue to Lloyd Road, make left turn (school can be seen from Bloomfield Avenue)

From Route 3:

    * Route 3 to Route 46, then follow directions above


From Route 23:

    * Take Route 23 south to Bloomfield Avenue, Verona
    * Left turn onto Bloomfield Avenue
    * Proceed two blocks past next traffic light to Lloyd Road, make right turn
    * Please note:  this turn is somewhat hidden when going downhill on Bloomfield Avenue.  Take it slowly, and look for the NJTransit bus stop located on the corner of Lloyd Road.  If you pass the Montclair Art Museum, you went one block too far.


From Route 280:

    * Take Prospect Avenue-Cedar Grove/Verona exit
    * Proceed north on Prospect Avenue to Bloomfield Avenue
    * Right turn onto Bloomfield Avenue
    * Proceed two blocks past next traffic light to Lloyd Road, make right turn
    * Please note:  this turn is somewhat hidden when going downhill on Bloomfield Avenue.  Take       it slowly, and look for the NJTransit bus stop located on the corner of Lloyd Road.  If you pass       the Montclair Art Museum, you went one block too far

    * Garden State Parkway South to exit 151 (Watchung Avenue)
    * Right turn onto Watchung Avenue
    * Proceed 6 traffic lights to Valley Road, turn left onto Valley Road
    * After passing Edgemont Park, (large pond with monument) make 2nd left turn onto Wendover        Road
    * Proceed one block to Central Avenue, make right turn
    * Proceed one block to Brunswick Road, make right turn
    * Make 2nd left turn into parking lot

From the South:

    * Garden State Parkway North to exit 148 (Bloomfield Avenue)
    * At the bottom of the exit ramp continue through intersection in the left-most lane, crossing over        Bloomfield Avenue

    * Proceed south on Valley Road approximately 5 miles

From the South: Garden State Parkway North. Take Exit 151 (Watchung Ave) the second exit after the Essex toll plaza. Turn left off exit onto Watchung Avenue toward Bloomfield and Montclair. Go over Parkway. Cross over Broad Street (3rd traffic light) and at take 2nd right into Brookdale Park. Both Cross Country and JV Baseball take place near the first parking area on the left.

From the North: Garden State Parkway South, Take Exit 151 (Watching Ave). Turn right off exit ramp onto Watching Ave. Cross over Broad Street (2rd traffic light) and at take 2nd right into Brookdale Park. Both Cross Country and JV Baseball take place near the first parking area on the left.

From the George Washington Bridge: Take Route 80 West to the Garden State Parkway South.
Take Exit 151 (Watching Ave). Turn right off exit ramp onto Watching Ave. Cross over Broad Street (2rd traffic light) and at take 2nd right into Brookdale Park. Both Cross Country and JV Baseball take place near the first parking area on the left.

From Route 280: Get off route 280 at Exit 8B (Prospect Avenue and Cedar Grove). Pass Pal’s Cabin, and Montclair Golf Club on the left, and continue to Bloomfield Avenue. Turn right onto Bloomfield Avenue. Turn left onto Valley Road.  Travel about a mile to Watchung Ave. intersection. Turn right onto Watchung Ave. Stay on Watchung Ave. (bear left under train trestle, bear right through small shopping area), Cross Grove Street and Ridgewood Ave. Look for Brookdale Park entrance on the left.
(If you come to Broad Street intersection, you have gone too far.) JV Baseball take place near the first parking area on the left.

At end bear sharply right and go to the end of parking area. Arena is at the end.

Turn right onto Chestnut Street. Arena is on the right just past railroad overpass. Parking is behind the arena. Go one block past Arena and turn right onto Montclair Ave. At end bear sharply right and go to the end of parking area. Arena is at the end.

From the George Washington Bridge: Take Route 80 West to the Garden State Parkway South.
Take Exit 151 (Watchung Ave). Turn right off exit onto Watchung Avenue. Turn left onto Grove Street. Turn right onto Chestnut Street.  Parking is behind the arena. Make a left off Chestnut Ave. onto Montclair Ave. (one block before the arena). At end bear sharply right and go to the end of parking area. Arena is at the end.

Directions to Montclair Golf Club

Prospect Avenue, West Orange 

From Route 280: Get off route 280 at Exit 8B (Prospect Avenue and Cedar Grove). Pass Pal’s Cabin. and The Manor (restaurants). Montclair Golf Club is less than a mile on the left on Prospect Avenue.

From the Upper School Campus:  Go West on Bloomfield Ave (toward Verona and Cedar Grove). Turn left  at second traffic light onto Prospect Avenue (toward West Orange). Montclair Golf Club is on the right less than a mile.

Directions to Mountainside Park

Upper Mountain Avenue, Upper Montclair

From Route 280: Get off route 280 at Exit 8B (Prospect Avenue and Cedar Grove). Pass Pal’s Cabin, and Montclair Golf Club on the left, and continue to Bloomfield Avenue. Turn right onto Bloomfield Avenue. Once on Bloomfield Ave., you begin to go down a hill into Montclair. Turn left* onto Upper Mountain Avenue. Go approximately 1.5 to 2 miles. Park is on both sides of Upper Mountain Ave. Tennis courts and softball field are on the right.

*Note: turning left from Bloomfield Ave can be difficult during heavy traffic.
Alternative route: From Bloomfield Ave, turn left at traffic light onto north Mountain Ave. Go one block, at light turn left onto Claremont Ave. Go one block, at light turn right onto Upper Mountain Ave. Go approximately 1.5 to 2 miles. Park is on the right and left of Upper Mountain Ave. Tennis courts and softball field are on the right.

From South: Garden State Parkway North. Take Exit 151 (Watchung Ave. Turn left off exit onto Watchung Avenue toward Bloomfield and Montclair. Go to the end of Watchung Avenue. Turn right onto Upper Mountain Avenue. Park is on the both sides of Upper Mountain Ave. Tennis courts and softball field are on the right.

From the North: Garden State Parkway South. Take Exit 151 (Watchung Ave). Turn right off exit onto Watchung Avenue toward Bloomfield and Montclair. Go to the end of Watchung Avenue. Turn right onto Upper Mountain Avenue. Park is on both sides of Upper Mountain Ave. Tennis courts and softball field are on the right.

Go 1.5 blocks, field is on the left bordered by an iron fence. Parking through gates.

Howe Street, Verona 

From the South: Garden State Parkway North to Exit 148 (Montclair and Bloomfield). Take exit road, cross over Bloomfield Ave., to just before second light, staying to the left and curving under Parkway bridge. Stay to the right and turn right onto Bloomfield Ave, west. Follow Bloomfield Ave into and through Bloomfield, Glen Ridge and Montclair. Continue into Verona/Cedar Grove staying on Bloomfield Avenue. As you enter Verona, you will come to a traffic light at the intersection of Lakeside and Bloomfield (Verona park on your left) Turn right onto a side street called Howe. Park in parking area. Track is accessible through gate.

From the North: Garden State Parkway South, Take Exit 151 (Watching Ave). Go through 7 traffic lights to Valley Road. Turn left onto Valley Road, traveling south. Go approximately 2 miles to Bloomfield Avenue and turn right onto Bloomfield. Continue into Verona/Cedar Grove staying on Bloomfield Avenue. As you enter Verona, you will come to a traffic light at the intersection of Lakeside and Bloomfield (Verona park on your left) Turn right onto a side street called Howe. Park in parking area.
