Upper School: Conferences and Reporting

At the Upper School, the academic school year is divided into two semesters. All students receive progress reports, including an indicator grade of progress and a written comment, at the midpoint of each semester; they receive a grade of record for each course at the end of each semester. Teachers write additional progress reports for new students, students on Academic Probation, etc. Students take comprehensive exams at the end of each semester; exam grades are reported separately from semester grades. Pre-scheduled parent conferences are held with the student's advisor twice during the year-once in November and once in early March.
