Communication between parents and teachers is of the utmost importance at the Primary School because of the age of the children. Parents receive formal progress reports three times each year. Reporting takes the form of detailed narratives. Two scheduled conference days are held each year-one in the fall and one in late spring. In addition to the narratives, teachers share Reading, Writing and Math Continuums with parents at the May conference. These continuums provide an outline of the stages of learning and provide a multiyear overview of the student's development as a reader, writer and mathematician.
