Following the completion of MKA's Long Range Plan in l996, together with information gained from constituent surveys and a Diagnostic Report prepared as part of the School's re-accreditation process, MKA's most recent Strategic Planning exercise began in September 2006.
With over seventy volunteers drawn from faculty, alumni, parents, trustees and administration, subcommittees were organized to make recommendations to the Board of Trustees that would maintain and strengthen the qualities of MKA's program in the areas of Advising, Counseling and Academic Support, Athletics and Physical Education, Classroom Program and Fine and Performing Arts. In January 2007, a further seventy volunteers began work on recommendations involving school resources in the following areas: Constituent Resources, Financial Resources, Human Resources, Facility Resources and Technology Resources.
It is these recommendations that have informed MKA's Goals for Strategic Planning 2007-2014 (see attachment). It is anticipated that a final Strategic Plan for the implementation of these goals will be ready in early 2008.
